Understanding your needs. Finding new possibilities

We know trying harder isn’t the answer. Often the biggest change happens when we listen to ourselves.

What if you looked at things from a different angle? What if you looked more closely at what you really need?

When you’re living with ADHD, it’s easy to get stuck in the same loops.

You tell yourself you’ll start tomorrow, only to realise six months have passed. You have exciting new ideas but struggle to follow them through. You spend time helping people around you, yet your own everyday tasks feel impossible to start. You hear that you're "too much", "too sensitive" or "not trying hard enough", while Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria quietly chips away at your confidence.

You might be struggling at school, university or work. You might be constantly overwhelmed, exhausted from masking, or stuck due to ADHD paralysis. You might have tried different approaches, but haven’t yet found something that consistently works for you.

Maybe you've achieved things that looked impressive, but at a huge personal cost. Or perhaps you've worked incredibly hard and still haven't seen the results you hoped for.

Whatever brings you here, you're not alone.

What Is ADHD Coaching Like With Me?

People often ask me in the introductory call what ADHD coaching is, and the truth is that coaching can look a little different depending on who you're working with. So rather than giving you a textbook definition, I'd rather share what coaching with me is like.

First and foremost, coaching is a partnership.

You are the expert on your life, your experiences, and your ADHD. My role isn't to tell you what to do or provide the answers. Instead, I work alongside you, helping you make sense of what's going on, explore different perspectives, and discover what works for you.

Because ADHD is always at the forefront of my coaching, we'll look at things through the ADHD lens. We'll explore how ADHD may be influencing your experiences, challenges, strengths and relationships, and how you can work with it rather than against it.

My coaching style is warm, collaborative and judgement-free. I'll bring curiosity, honesty and understanding to our conversations and, with your permission, I'll gently challenge some of your thinking to help you see things differently.

You don't need to have everything figured out before we begin. Some people come with a very clear outcome in mind. Others simply know that something isn't working and want life to feel different. Both are completely okay.

We'll work things out together, one conversation, one insight, and one step at a time.

Testimonials

“I cannot recommend Sophie enough for anyone considering ADHD coaching. Sophie’s ability to listen deeply, ask the right questions, and guide me toward solutions I hadn’t considered has had such a positive impact on me.

Her meticulous attention to detail helps me stay on track, which I really appreciate. Every session l leave with a clear sense of direction and renewed confidence in my abilities.”

—Early-Career Professional

“Being coached by Sophie has had such a positive effect on my life. Having her support through school work, social life and living with ADHD in general was so significant and made me feel so supported. With my A levels, Sophie’s coaching helped me stay in a positive mindset when studying and managing my time, as well as benefiting my mental health.

It has also changed my perspective on living and managing my ADHD daily. Even today, I am still healthily managing my ADHD using the support and coaching I’ve received from Sophie in a way which has changed my life.”

—A-Level Student

“Sophie was excellent at helping me identify my strengths, to notice when I was being hard on myself, and to help me understand why I don't always follow along when someone is talking to me in a certain way.

In the short time I saw Sophie, I truly feel like monumental changes have occurred. The mindset takes work, and commitment, but I'm on the path to really understand myself and the ‘challenges' I've encountered for the last 40+ years.”

What Can ADHD Coaching Help With?

The more I learn about ADHD and the more people I meet through coaching, the more I'm reminded that ADHD can look both similar and completely different at the same time.

Many of us experience similar struggles, but ADHD can affect each person in completely different ways. That’s why coaching will look different for each person too.

You might want help with:

  • Understanding how ADHD affects you

  • Acceptance and self-compassion

  • Discovering your strengths, values and needs

  • GCSEs, A-Levels and university studies

  • Supporting a child with ADHD

  • Executive Function challenges

  • Confidence and self-belief

  • Procrastination

  • Time management

  • Organisation and prioritisation

  • Focus and concentration

  • Advocating for your needs

  • Masking

  • Perfectionism and excessively high standards

  • Burnout and overwhelm

  • Navigating work and career challenges

What Can’t ADHD Coaching Help With?

It's just as important to understand what coaching isn't.

Coaching is not therapy, counselling, medical treatment, or a substitute for mental health support.

While we may explore emotions, challenges and experiences in depth, coaching focuses on the present and future, helping you move towards the outcomes that matter to you.

Coaching is also not about being given a ready-made instruction manual. I can't hand you a recipe book full of ADHD solutions, because what works for one person may not work for another.

Instead, we'll work together to understand your experiences and discover approaches that fit your needs, strengths and circumstances.

As an ADHD coach, I cannot:

  • Diagnose ADHD

  • Provide mental health treatment

  • Offer medical advice

  • Make decisions on your behalf

What I can do is help you understand what's happening, notice patterns you may have missed, and explore new ways of approaching challenges.

If adjustments or support are needed at school, university or work, I can help you identify and articulate those needs. Any decision about sharing that information remains yours.

Curious About Coaching?

If anything you’ve read feels familiar, please know that you’re not alone.

One of the things I value most about coaching is having a space where you can talk openly about what’s going on, without feeling judged, criticised or misunderstood.

Sometimes a conversation is a good place to start.

I’d be happy to chat and answer any questions you may have, so please feel free to get in touch.
